Welcome to Mummy's page

The Kadota Family Home Page  - behind the scene-

I have been involved in the Computer Committee in The Japanese Association, Singapore for a year, and I have maintained their HOME PAGE. Since then my family have wanted to create one for ourselves. The most enthusiastic person to materialize this idea is Hajime. As you may see, his page is the most fulfilled. This is the result of his passion towards to this project. He did everything we had to, sent application to the provider to open a web site account, upgraded CPU, bought bigger hard disk, video capture card and of course a digital camera.   I still do not understand why he needed DVD Rom and CDRW.   Moreover, now our three daughters and myself have our own PCs.(^o^) Thank to the PC fanatic Daddy, (excuse me!) he assembled other family members' PCs with left over parts after he upgraded his own PC.
My role at this homepage is to update, technical supports, proof reading, find and insert tune to match up with each page. Hajime and I encourage children to create their pages by themselves. Mariko will be putting her pages together in 3 〜 5 years time.  We helped Yumiko and Eriko to start theirs, but I am afraid that they will be teaching us what to do some day.  Kids really learn things much fater than their parents.
Naturally,  it is more fun being a web-master for your own personal pages rather than for somebody else like JAS ha! ha!  Those who are interested in JAS please visit the site, but come back here.  JAS home page is unfortunately meant for those who understand Japanese language only.

Mummys Diary
MARCH 12,13
I went to YO YO MA's Concert. This was his 3rd visit to Singapore and I have not missed any of  his concerts.   Singapore Chinese seems to love him as he is one of the most successful Chinese decendant in the world. This is a myth that his concert tickets were sold out within 10 minutes. I did not have to queue for the tickets because I am the member of the Friend of SSO (Singapore Symphony Orchestra). I was lucky that I could order by fax and got these platinum tickets, but this time the angry people complained and made another opportunity to see Yo Yo Ma.  That was a open rehearsal, I queued for the tickets and I went the rehearsal with Yumiko. It was Friday morning but this mum did not care if  her daughter had to miss some lessons.

The rehearsal itself was interesting.  We saw how the musician practice and put notes together to make  music, and how the composer interrupt the musician to play his work.  That was really annoying, we just wanted to listen YO YO MA play.  After the rehearsal, we queued to see YO YO MA, and WE DID!  WE GOT HIS AUTOGRAPHS!  WE TOOK PICTURES WITH HIM! You can see it at Yumiko's page.

Hajime, Eriko and I went the concert that night.  The last piece Cello Concerto by Elgar was fantastic !
They say that Jacqueline Du Pre's performance has been one of the best.  Her cello is now owned by YO YO MA.  We sat in the middle of the front row and stared YO YO MA and fascinated  by him and his music.
I  had got only one ticket, so I went alone.  The seat was at the front row but at the left end.
That night It was interesting  to see YO YO MA and Lan Shui's(the conductor) tactics
and the winner is...
no need to say.
